How it works
One quiet process
that runs the whole thing.
MIRA is a single program you run at home. It connects the apps your family already uses to an AI agent with memory, tools and a caring, proactive streak — and keeps every bit of it on your own hardware.
Routing · sessions · authentication · channel pollers · schedulers · web API
Everything inside the box lives under your data directory (~/.mira/data) — on a machine you own.
The flow
From a text to a thing done —
and back to you.
- 01
She meets your family where they already are
No new app to install for the people who won't. MIRA connects to Signal, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Matrix and email — plus a built-in web chat. Everyone talks to her the way they already text.
- 02
She understands, and remembers
Each message runs through your chosen AI model. MIRA keeps a private, per-person memory of what matters — preferences, people, ongoing threads — and a wiki of longer notes, so she carries context across days and channels, not just one chat.
- 03
She acts with real tools
Web search, your calendar, code, documents, scheduled automations — and, through MCP, any external tool you connect. She does the task and reports back what she did and why.
- 04
She reaches out first
With your permission, MIRA sends a morning briefing and gentle check-ins on a schedule — respecting quiet hours — as text or a real voice note. A presence, not a prompt box.
- 05
She serves everyone, privately
One instance, separate accounts: each person gets their own memory, voice and settings, with an admin who runs the server. It all lives on your hardware — nothing is sent to a vendor cloud.
See it for yourself.
One command brings the whole thing up on your machine. Read the install guide and meet MIRA.
